The Île Rousse breakwater construction has been successfully completed.

A CLAS diving team specialising in the placement of high-interlocking concrete armour units was mobilised throughout the project to supervise the construction works and prepare the complete breakwater certification dossier. Part of the existing ACCROPODE™ armour layer was dismantled and rebuilt to connect seamlessly with the new BS1 armour layer under the BREAKWATER SOLUTION™ programme.

Mission entrusted to CLAS

  • Project-specific risk assessment.
  • Preparation of the armour unit placement drawings.
  • Training of all personnel involved in the handling and placement of ACCROPODE™ and BS1 armour units.
  • Technical assistance to the Contractor during the installation of the armour units.
  • Preparation of the Quality Assurance documentation.
