The company RLNBC chose the company IDMer, from which CLAS is the successor, to assist it on the colossal RAS LAFFAN construction project in Qatar.
The placement of the ACCROPODE™ units carried out solely using the ECHOSCOPE® was rejected by SOGREAH. RLNBC then urgently called on the experts of CLAS to train diver teams and supervise the placement of the units.
ACCROPODE™ is a registered trademark owned by ARTELIA, which is in no way affiliated with CLAS. The independence of CLAS from the license vendors was a determining factor in this project.

LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION for IDMER
I hereby confirm that IDMER worked for RLNBC (Boskalis / Van Oord joint venture) on the Ras Laffan Port Expansion Project in Qatar, from May 2008 to November 2008.
The armor layer of the main breakwater consisted of:
18,000 Accropode units of 3 m³
16,500 Accropode units of 4 m³
1,700 Accropode units of 5 m³
During this period, IDMER trained, guided, supervised, and inspected the works.
The main mission of IDMER was to optimize the quality and the quantity of the placement of the Accropode units.
RLNBC has no hesitation in recommending IDMER for a future mission similar to that carried out on the Ras Laffan Port Expansion Project.
