The GUINTOLI–BUESA consortium chose CLAS to support it in the reconstruction of the EDF breakwater in Martigues.
Safety was a constant concern for all parties involved on this construction site, because seawater pumping was never stopped during the works. CLAS deployed a BlueROV2 ROV and a team of experienced commercial divers.

I, the undersigned David GARREAU, holding the position of Project Manager for the reconstruction of the EDF Combined Cycle Gas (CCG) breakwater in Martigues (13), Bouches-du-Rhône, within the company GUINTOLI, the company in charge of construction (in consortium with the company BUESA acting as lead contractor) of the breakwater armor layers, hereby certify that the company CLAS SLU gave us full satisfaction in the execution of the tasks entrusted to it.
These services concerned technical assistance to GUINTOLI for the reconstruction of the armor layers of the Martigues CCG breakwaters. The mission entrusted to CLAS included in particular the following items:
Provide on-demand assistance during the study phase of technical solutions.
Ensure follow-up of safety training for personnel and training in the installation technique of ACCROPODE™ II units.
Provide full-time assistance during the construction phase.
Achieve the quality and production objectives.
Carry out quality certification for Class A structures for the Engineer in charge of design, construction supervision and works acceptance and the Owner.
The company CLAS fulfilled its mission in a professional manner and met the deadlines assigned to it. The structures were accepted without reservations, and the certification file prepared by CLAS for the breakwater was included in the DOE.
