Letter of Recommendation
Dear Sir or Madam,
As part of Package 5 of the project carried out in Kuwait on behalf of the main contractor Hyundai–SK–Saipem JV (HSS) and the final client Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), 12,000 CoreLoc units of 1 m³ were installed by Van Oord Dredging and Marine Contractors (VODMC).
For this purpose, VODMC entered into a service contract with Concrete Layer Assistance Services (CLAS).
The purpose of this mission was to provide third-party verification and control of the placement and interlocking of these units in accordance with the Technical Information Document (TID) issued by the designer (CLI).
The team, led by Eric Skierniewski, understood that time was a critical factor and worked in close collaboration with the on-site project team in order to achieve the set objectives.
Thanks to the efforts of CLAS, the works were carried out efficiently and completed on schedule and in compliance with the required technical parameters.
VODMC therefore warmly recommends the consulting services of CLAS for future works involving the installation of concrete armor units.
