Background
The contractor consortium entrusted CLAS with the preparation of the installation layouts for the BS1 and BS2 units implemented on this project.
CLAS also provided comprehensive assistance, including safety training and the final certification of the works.
The quality assurance file prepared by CLAS was included in the as-built documentation (DOE) by the Engineer in charge of design, construction supervision and works acceptance, SUEZ.

- 1000 BS1 and BS2 blocks of 9 and 4 m3.

Role of CLAS
Provide on-demand assistance during the technical solution design phase,
Prepare installation layouts for the newly installed BS2 artificial armour units and for the BS1 units that were dismantled and reinstalled,
Ensure follow-up of personnel safety training,
Provide full-time assistance during the construction phase,
Achieve or exceed the production objectives,
Achieve the quality objectives,
Optimise construction costs,
Prepare the quality certification file for submission to the Engineer in charge of design and construction supervision and to the Client.

Result
The structure was delivered on schedule and without reservations at acceptance.
The breakwater was certified CLASS A, and the certification file was included in the as-built documentation (DOE).
