Gragoon breakwater, a structure delivered rapidly with CLAS technical assistance
The completion of the Dragon breakwater reconstruction works marks a new milestone in the modernization of the port.
CLAS supported the BUESA–NATALI joint venture by providing comprehensive technical assistance and quality certification throughout the duration of the project.

CLAS technical assistance and supervision
A CLAS consultant was mobilized on a full-time basis on site to ensure:
training of personnel in the installation of ACCROPODE™ II armour units;
technical support during placement operations;
quality monitoring of the underlayer, toe berm, and armour layer;
optimization of production;
and preparation of the quality execution certification file.
(ACCROPODE™ is a registered trademark belonging to the ARTELIA Group and marketed by Concrete Layer Innovations (CLI).
These companies are in no way affiliated with CLAS.
CLAS is an independent company providing technical assistance, safety training, and quality certification services for maritime breakwaters using single-layer, highly interlocking artificial concrete armour units.)
Results and CLAS certification
The Môle Génois breakwater was awarded CLAS Certification – Class A Breakwater, confirming that its construction complies with the rules of good practice set out in the CETMEF Rock Armour Guidelines, the applicable technical reference documents, and the project specifications (CCTP).
This CLAS certification was incorporated into the As-Built Documentation (DOE) by the Engineer in charge of design and construction supervision, ARTELIA.
