HISTORY
VAN OORD was falling behind on this project and was liable to penalties.
VAN OORD called upon IDMER, now CLAS, to achieve quality and production objectives.

THE MISSION :
IDMer acted as an independent consultant with the mission:
Train and supervise the ACCROPODE ™ placement teams.
Train the site supervisor.
Train all personnel in ACCROPODE ™ specific safety.
Ensure the interface with SOGREAH and the client representative.
Optimize production.
Optimize quality.
PRODUCTION:
Production is calculated on the basis of actual installation hours. Stoppages due to bad weather, breakdowns and generally causes unrelated to the installation of ACCROPODE ™ are not taken into account in this calculation.
Taiwanese and Vietnamese divers. Production with approved quality following the training and the training given by the agents of IDMer:
ACCROPODE ™ 2 to 6.3 m3 in straight section: 8 units per hour.
ACCROPODE ™ 9 m3 in straight section: 8 units per hour.
ACCROPODE ™ 12 m3 in head: 5 units per hour.
PROCEDURE :
The inspectors of IDMer, now CLAS, intervened several times
times a day at each ACCROPODE ™ installation station so as not to
delay work by major dismantling.
Inspections were carried out on and underwater and each inspection yielded debriefing with the ACCROPODE ™ installation team.
RESULT:
The site was delivered several months in advance and the armor in
ACCROPODE ™ accepted without reservation by the client.
